Statistics and Experience
Would you like to know of recent statistics regarding long term health care issues? Here is some great info regarding what others have experienced regarding premiums, provider benefits, and other useful info. Any information that you can get your hands on is very useful. I have been investigating these issues for awhile now, and as a single professional woman, believe me, I am disheartened. There are many benefits for married couples, but if you’re single you lose out. The good news is I’m investigating this now while I’m young (in my mid-forties). I have no family members to take care of me, and you never know what could happen. Obviously, I will live longer than a man (I jog and eat healthy) so it’s to my benefit to look into these long term health care insurance types of things. I also think that you shouldn’t rely on others to take care of you, especially the government. But I do wish the government would even the playing field for single women! While I wish we had a better health care system that would provide for everyone in this country, universal health care at this point is a wishful fantasy, and I am looking into securing my own financial future by securing good Long Term Care Insurance.
