History of the skate board decks

If you try to find out the inventor of the Skate Decks, you will not find one. It has evolved with the passage of time. It is generally believed that the skate boards came in to use in the 1930s. it underwent the process of origin in the 1940s too. At that time, the children took part in soapbox races. The soap boxes were attached to wooden planks that were fitted to the roller skate wheels. After the soap boxes got detached from the plank, the skateboards were ready to be in use by the children. They were first marketed in 1958 in California’s Dana point. It was done by Mark and Bill Richards.

However now you can get across many Skate Deck shops that let you choose your accessories from a variety of them. It actually evolved in the 1960s. it was the time when the decks were modified and newly designed. Unlike the modern day decks, the primitive board decks resembled the surfboard that had no concavity and were made of materials like metal, plastic and wood. You will be amazed to know that even the wheels of the skate boards were made of clay or steels. The axles were also designed in the format of ‘single action’ in contrast to today’s ‘double action’ format. Now days skating has stylized and brought with it a separate dress code. You have got separate designer Skate Clothes for the sport too.
