What Is The Key To Successful Bathroom Organization?

November 05, 2007 By: admin Category: Productivity No Comments →

The key to successful bathroom organization or office organization has to do with slowly adopting new tips and techniques to slowly carve away at an organizational nightmare, rather than trying to tackle everything at once. Here are a couple of small tips for organizing your home that will allow you to make small chunks instead of getting overwhelmed by one huge project.

- Having cords that are extra long can really add to the clutter in your home, especially when it comes to your garage or your office organization. Use nails in the wall to loop rolled extension cords. Keeping them up off the ground and tucked behind furniture or electronics is a great way to reduce the ‘visible clutter’ in your home.

- Closets in bedrooms, kitchen organization and offices tend to clutter themselves up fairly easily. Install extra shelves, drawers and baskets on hang tracks and easy-glide tracks to make organizing and finding items later much easier. When the storage solutions you install are user-friendly, you will tend to be more successful in keeping up on the organizational process over time.

- If you are looking for a way to simplify the laundry process, keep a small pop-up hamper or small canvas laundry basket handy. These small portable baskets can be kept in closets or behind doors in bathrooms to save space while easily providing a place to collect and maintain dirty clothing.

Upgrading Automated Equipment to Enhance Customer Service

October 14, 2007 By: admin Category: Productivity No Comments →

How many times have you had to return orders that were incorrectly filled in the past year? Is automation in materials handling and shipping systems getting in the way of customer service these days?

Depending on what you’re purchasing, it’s more likely a case of older automated sortation systems and other equipment becoming inadequate to meet new sales demands rather than “too much” automation. Many businesses are finding increased sales due to internet ordering and effective marketing has outpaced backend operations. If sales are up 25%, how much more inventory are warehouses stocking? Can companies really expect their automated equipment to function with the same efficiency and accuracy as it did before these increased demands?

If a company wants its checkweighers to keep pace with increases in production, perhaps it’s finally time to invest in some new ones. The increased efficiency and accuracy new automated equipment can provide will more than pay for itself in short time. How? Not only will more production increases be supported, but a decrease in returns will cut costs while an increase in repeat orders due to greater customer satisfaction will boost profits. It’s truly a win-win situation for companies as well as their customers.
